Do you have room in your heart and home for one of the nicest cats on Earth? Tang is just such a cat. He is charming, very handsome, well-behaved, calm and affectionate. He can be a little bit shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he is the ultimate lap cat – a purring machine!

Sadly, Tang is looking for a new home as his owner’s infant child has developed severe cat allergies. The family is heartbroken to have to make this very difficult decision to rehome Tang, but it is something they have no choice about. They are hoping that they can find a loving forever home for Tang where he will be as cherished as he is now. They would love to keep in touch with Tang in his new home, if his new family is agreeable to it.

Tang will be rehomed with all of his supplies, along with the sincere appreciation of his owners.

Tang’s Current Home Environment

2 adults, a toddler and an infant. Although we have two small children we are still a generally quiet and calm environment. No shouting, no fighting, no loud interactions.

Tang’s Current Family:

We are a family with two children including a newborn with allergies to our cat. We do both work so Tang is ok with being left alone during the day. He loves to come check on us as soon as we come home and curl up with the family during the evening.

Tang’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Favorite toys: strings, small mice to throw and catch, round scratcher where ball rolls in a circle and he chases it.

Favorite foods: we have him on a blue buffalo grain free diet. Our previous cat was gluten intolerant and we decided to put both cats on a grain free diet. We do not think he has allergies but not sure how he will react to food with grains at this point since his body is not used to it.

Favorite activities: sitting in our laps to cuddle, looking out the window, playing in the garage (he is indoor only), sleeping

Cute Tang Story:

Tang had a best buddy (our first cat) that he spent his days with until he passed away a few years ago. Since then we have had a toddler and newborn enter the house. Tang has been very brave and well adjusted through all of these changes. But now that we can’t keep him, he is ready for a stable home where he can relax.

Why is Tang Being Rehomed?

Our infant son has developed allergies to our cat.

Tang’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone who loves animals and will treat him lovingly. He will probably do best in a quiet and stable home. He is fine with children but not if they are too rowdy, they will scare him.

Additional Comments:

We would like to stay in touch with our cat but our first priority is to find him a good home. If that means we cannot stay in touch we will accept that.
