Hi, My name is Amy!

Boxer Mix Dog For Adoption in Bethesda Maryland

I am a Brindle Female Boxer/Hound Dog. I am 5yr old and weigh 50lbs. I live in Bethesda, MD.

Amy is an extremely sweet dog that loves to cuddle! She is low energy, and enjoys laying in the sun in the back yard. She gets along with all people (adults and children), and rarely barks. She will follow you around the house all day because she just loves being around you! She gets along with most dogs quite well, but does not like one of the smaller dogs in our neighborhood for some reason. She does very well on the leash, but gets a little excited when she sees a rabbit or squirrel running around the neighborhood. She is fully house trained and can be left alone in the house without causing any trouble. She is truly an amazing dog who will always be happy to see you when you walk in the door!

Amy’s Current Home Environment

Amy lives in a mid sized home in a suburban neighborhood. She has a back yard where she enjoys spending time outside in the sun!

Amy’s Current Family:

Amy lives with with her mother in a suburban neighborhood outside of Washington, DC. We are an active family and enjoy taking her on nice walks throughout the neighborhood and trails.

Amy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She enjoys sleeping! She will sleep all day if you let her. She also LOVES to go on walks throughout the neighborhood and being outside. She does not play with toys much, but occasionally will want to play with her favorite toys. She loves all food, but is well trained and will not beg for food around the house. We have found she likes grain free dog food the best.

Cute Amy Story:

Amy has her own chair in our living room where she will sit when we are in the living room.

Why is Amy Being Rehomed?

My mother, Janet, is the owner of Amy. She is moving to Florida, and her new house is going to be under renovation for the next year, which would not be a safe environment for Amy to live. I live in the city, and dogs her size are not allowed in the building where I reside. It breaks my heart to let her go, but hopefully she can find a great new loving family who can give her the proper care and time she deserves.

Amy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

A family that has a suitable back yard and is willing to take her for occasional walks around the neighborhood. Someone with large breed dog experience would be preferred.

Additional Comments:

She is truly a great dog, and would be an amazing addition to any family!
