Lacy needs a new home near Austin, Texas, Hi, My name is Lacy!
Only a year old and well trained, my owners have raised me to be well-mannered and affectionate! ?I’m still energetic, playful and a dog who loves a lot of attention when I’m not sleeping in my crate. ?I’ll even ring a bell to let you know that I’ve got to do my business outside. ?I’m really good with chasing discs and rope, balls, and chew toys, and if you’ll join me, it makes it a lot of fun! ?I love people and get along fine with other dogs. The problem is that my owners have a baby on the way and it may be a long time before they have the free time to give me the attention and playtime that I need. ?They know that I’ll be bored and perhaps a little jealous and they love me enough to want me in a home where I’ll have older kids to play with or some energetic adults! ?If you can help me find a good home near #Austin, #TX , then you’ll be making one grateful dog and two families very happy!(I’m sorry that my photo isn’t ready yet! Check back soon!)
Lacy’s large crate will come with her. She’s very comfortable with it. ?She has ropes, balls, frisbies, food, and chew toys. All of her shots are up to date and she’s been spayed. ?If you have room in your heart and home for Lacy, please fill out our application form here: or call Debbie or Mark toll free at 888-9-PETS4U.
There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee, however this can be waived if needed.

Lacy’s Personality

Lacy is a very friendly, sweet, and loving pet that has lots of energy because we don’t get the opportunity to play with her as much as we should. She has been house trained and knows and responds to her commands. She is very smart and loves attention. She loves to sit on feet or as close to you as possible. She loves spending nights with chewing on a chewy.

Lacy’s Current Home Environment

Lacy is very loved. She spends most of her time inside. She is crate trained and is in her crate during the day on cold days or if it is to hot outside, but if it is a nice day she is good with spending the some time in the sun. We spend time with her every night and feed her morning and night. She rings a bell to go out side when she needs to go potty. She only cry at night time if she has to really go potty or is not feeling well.

Lacy’s Current Family:

My wife and I have had Lacy for a year and have loved having her as a part of our family. We were so excited to rescued her when she was 8 weeks old. We have worked diligently to trainer her. We love Lacy very much but we are expecting a baby in the next month and know that we will not be able to give Lacy the love and attention that she deserves. We are a young couple and Lacy is our first dog.

Lacy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Lacy loves to play tug with ropes, play fetch with frisbees and balls. She enjoys chewing on rawhides and other chew toys. She does great on car rides. We give her treats to reward her for good behavior. She loves turkey, cheese. She knows if you say do you want a treat or chewy what is coming. She also loves greenies, but only gets those on special occasions. She loves to run out side and play!

Cute Lacy Story:

Lacy does not like to swim or take baths but she loves to play in the sprinklers and water hose. She will chase the water around and will play for hours if we let her. We will put her in the shower and she does great getting washed off in there. My wife and I played a game of basketball for the first time over christmas break and Lacy loved watching and getting to chase the ball around. It was really cute to see her trying to jump into the game. Mornings are some of my favorite moments with Lacy because she is so sweet getting out of her kennel all she wants to do is snuggle and when you sit down to pet her she will just lay her head in your lap. She doesn’t mind having her ears pulled, tail played with, being around her food she is great. We really worked on making her a great dog to be around for when we have kids.

Why is Lacy Being Rehomed?

My wife and I are expecting our first child this month. Lacy has LOTS of energy and we do not feel that we can provide Lacy with the attention and love that she needs. She loves attention and with our son on the way we want to make sure that Lacy finds a home that can provide that for her.

We have no doubt that she would great around kids a little older, but Lacy loves to be close to us and play with us all the time and we are really concerned that with an infant we won’t be able to play with her as much as she deserves. My wife and I are very sad that we can’t be Lacy’s forever home, but know that she will be perfect for a family with kids who can run and play with or someone who can give Lacy the time she really needs.

Lacy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We are looking for a loving family that enjoys dogs. Having a large yard and/or time to walk/run is preferable since Lacy likes to run around. Someone/Family who is looking for a puppy that has been trained, and will love Lacy and play with her daily. We have spent a lot of time, love, money, and energy working with Lacy to make her a great family dog and have no doubt that when Lacy finds the right home who will continue to work with her, play with her that she will be a perfect fit for a new family.
