Hi, My name is Max!

I am a Black and white, short-haired Male terrier Dog. I am 7 years old and weigh 20 lbs. I live inDallas-Fort Worth, Texas.

My name is Max!

If you have been looking for a smaller dog that ticks all of your boxes, that would be me. I am a cute terrier with adorable big ears and deep brown eyes. I am a very loving, devoted, sensitive and kind little fellow. I have been told that I am a great listener, and have the ability to cheer you up when you are feeling down.

I am just 7 years young, very healthy, neutered and up to date on my vaccinations. I have a lovely black and white coat that is short and smooth.

I am the ultimate low-maintenance dog! I don’t need a lot of exercise or grooming. A daily walk, and an occasional bath is plenty to keep me happy and healthy. I love attention from my humans more than anything. I love to cuddle up with you and watch TV. I am a great companion, and am happy doing whatever you are doing. I am a “lie-at-your-feet” kind of dog!

I am being rehomed by my owners, who are expecting a baby. They both have jobs that keep them very busy, and with a new baby coming along, they are worried that they will have even less time to spend with me. They feel that for my well-being, it would be best to find me a home with people who will be able to meet my needs for attention and companionship. They are heartbroken to have to make this difficult decision, but feel that it is in my best interests.

I will be rehomed with my bed, bowls, toys, collar and leash, and a supply of preventative medications for heartworm and fleas/ticks.

Please offer me a home today! I can’t wait to wiggle my way into your heart, and show you just what unconditional love is all about.

Max’s Personality

Max is a loving dog that likes to be around people and loves lots of attention. Although he has a good bit of energy, Max enjoys just laying around watching TV with the family in the evenings. He doesn’t require much exercise but does like going for daily walks.

Max’s Current Home Environment

At home, we are a couple who both work. But one of us works from home part-time. Max stays remains uncreated, with free reign over the house, while we’re out during the day. He is very trustworthy in the house alone–no chewing items, and no accidents.

Most evenings, we have family time just relaxing and watching TV. Max typically looks for a lot of cuddle time at this point in the day, especially if we’ve been out all day.

At night, Max sleeps in his bed in our living room downstairs.

Max’s Current Family:

Currently, my husband and I live in the house right now, but we are expecting our first baby within the next couple weeks. We both work full-time, but I have a long commute, so my job allows me to work 2-3 days per week from home.

Max’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Max loves stuffed toys–he loves to pull the stuffing out of them and then take what’s left of the toy to his bed to sleep beside him. He also loves rope toys and other items he can tug on and thrash around.

He loves going for daily walks. He’s not much for playing fetch, but we sometimes can get him to run back and forth with us a bit in the backyard. He loves having an open area to run around and let out some energy. But being such a small dog, he tires pretty quickly. This is why a 20-minute walk in the morning or evening is usually all he needs.

As far as food, Max will eat any and everything, but we try to feed him natural, healthy dry dog food.

Cute Max Story:

Max is a very sweet and kind dog. I had him before I got married, and in any instances where I was feeling sad, he has always been able to sense that and comfort me–even if it’s just to walk over and lie down at my feet.

Why is Max Being Rehomed?

We will be having our first baby soon, and we feel that we wouldn’t have the time to give Max the love and attention that he both needs and deserves. We’d really like to find a new home for him before the baby comes in the next week or two.

Max’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I think Max needs a family where he’ll get a lot love, time, and attention. He really loves being around people and just spending time with them–whether it’s doing outdoor activities or quietly sitting while you read a book. It would be good if one family member was home a lot, as he makes a great companion.
